The centre of the composition is a rider on a white horse wearing a laurel wreath and a crown with a commander’s baton in his left hand. He is accompanied by foot soldiers carrying a banner on which a white double-headed eagle is depicted. Above the horseman’s head we can also see a pole surmounted by a shield in the centre of a laurel wreath. The shield carries the letters RO. Further back there is a mountainous landscape with villages and a castle. The broad border contains allegorical female figures and hunting scenes placed in cartouches and arches. The subject of this tapestry has not been determined. Neither has the artist who made the cartoons.
